Getting teeth in a day is as simple as visiting your dentist for a consultation, going through the procedure, and leaving with a gleaming new set of teeth.
Teeth in a day dental implants are an excellent alternative to removable dentures since they are permanent and look and operate like natural teeth.

In this article, you'll learn about acquiring teeth in a day, including how it works, the pricing, and other relevant topics.
How does obtaining teeth in one day work?
Assuming the consultation and treatment plan have been set, the patient arrives on the day of the procedure at 7 a.m. to get the day started early. The remaining teeth from the afflicted jaw(s) are extracted, and four dental implants are inserted.
The patient is then given a recovery room where they can rest.
In the afternoon, the full-arch acrylic bridge is affixed to the four implants, and by the end of the day, the patient is home with new teeth.
There will be a pre-consultation appointment, as well as a review seven days and two weeks after the treatment.
You can view this video by Dr Daniel of Daniel Daniel Dentistry, who provides an excellent explanation of what "teeth in a day" actually implies.
How natural should I expect the results to be?
Teeth in a day implants feel very natural, but don't expect them to be exactly like your own permanent teeth.
When in doubt, during your appointment, you may request images to compare the differences in a patient's teeth before and after the surgery to gain a better visual understanding of what to expect.
Alternatively, if you are more concerned about the sensation of dental implants in your mouth, you can ask to speak with patients who have had the teeth in a day procedure, and they will most likely be willing to tell you about how natural the teeth feel in their mouth, whether they can chew comfortably, and their overall experience.
What is the success rate with Teeth in a Day dental implants?
With advanced implant technology and constantly improved processes, the international success rate for receiving teeth in one day is 98%.
During my time as a dentist, my success rate for these implants has been greater than 98%; however, it is crucial to note that a large portion of this success is dependent on your ability to care for and clean your new implants.
How long do the All-on-4 Teeth in a Day implants last?
Teeth in a Day implants, also known as All-on-4 implants, are made up of two components: an implant and a bridge. The implants are not replaced during the patient's lifetime. If the bridge becomes damaged, it may need to be replaced. This means that it does not disappear, but rather seems worn out or flattened over time, necessitating a replacement.
There are two kinds of bridges accessible:
Acrylic bridge—is more cost-effective and lasts roughly seven years.
Ceramic bridge—lasts about 15 to 20 years, and each tooth is a distinct crown.
Although much more expensive, ceramic bridges are arguably the closest solution to genuine teeth in terms of feel and thickness. It also feels more natural on the tongue and allows you to enunciate or bite more accurately because the bridge can be adjusted to fit the opposing jaw.
If money is not a problem, ceramic teeth are recommended because they are more attractive, thinner, and have a better bite.
Traditional dental implant methods vs. Teeth in a Day dental implants
All-on-4 implants are designed with a specific objective in mind: to help people who are missing numerous teeth and hence require many implants.

On the other hand, conventional dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth.
When it comes to full-arch dental implants, the all-on-4 procedure is the preferred method since it is more efficient and cost-effective. They are also less intrusive because the patient does not need to undergo bone grafting. This is an excellent choice for those who do not enjoy lengthy operations.
If you intend to have numerous implants placed with conventional implants, the crowns or bridges will not normally be completed on the same day. Patients would normally have to wait around four months. Patients would also have to endure bone transplants and wear dentures while the implants healed.
On the other hand, teeth in a day requires no healing time because you are wearing the bridge during the healing process, making it more time efficient as well.
How would I know whether I am a candidate for the Teeth in a Day procedure?
During your appointment, the dentist will examine the following to determine your candidacy for dental implant treatment:
Medical history
Smoking
Diabetes
Poor oral hygiene habits
Osteoporosis
Vitamin D or C definitions
The doctor will also analyze any potential difficulties that a patient may be experiencing that could contribute to poor implant recovery.
It is also crucial to understand and manage the patient's expectations.
Often, patients anticipate to have the same teeth they had when they were younger, but this is not possible because strong bone is still required to hold the teeth.
What are the possible difficulties of teeth in a day dental implants?
The most commonly reported negative effects include edema and bruising. Swelling usually goes away within 48-72 hours, whereas bruising takes one or two weeks.
Nerve injury is another rare and complex problem that might occur if the implant process is not performed correctly. Personally, I have not seen this happen, which is why it is critical to choose a reputable and skilled oral surgeon or dentist who can ensure that the teeth in a day implants are performed safely.
Do not be concerned; most surgeons are trained and experienced, but always do your homework first.
Patients who have little bone and cannot have bone grafts must receive zygomatic implants, which are dental implants that anchor in the zygomatic bone (cheekbone) rather than the maxilla (upper jaw).
These are substantially longer implants and carry their own risks because they affect delicate anatomical components like the orbit and are closer to the eye.
As a result, having an expert surgeon on hand is critical in situations like this.
Is there an ideal age to get teeth in one day?
It all depends on your specific problems and whether removing all of your training teeth is the best solution for you. My youngest patient is 27 years old.
What should I expect during my initial consultation for teeth in a day implants?
Bring x-ray results, medications (both prescription and over-the-counter), or anything else that will help your dentist understand your overall medical status
An x-ray or CT scan will be performed to determine how much bone you still have in your mouth
The dentist will explain the entire process to you and determine whether you are a good candidate for the teeth in a day operation. If the All-on-4 treatment is not appropriate for you, you will be offered another treatment option
What sensations should I expect throughout the treatment?
During the treatment, you will not feel any discomfort, and you can choose the type of anesthetic that will be used:
Local anesthesia numbs you, but allows you to hear all sounds made during the surgery. Patients who have had All-on-4 implants performed under LA report hearing drilling noises, physicians and nurses conversing, and the experience may not be as pleasant for you
Intravenous (IV) sedation - Most patients wake up drowsy and have no memory of what transpired during the surgery, but they are quite exhausted
General anaesthesia - You will arrive at one of our day surgery centres and will feel nothing during the procedure because you will be asleep
Undergoing the teeth in a day operation under local anaesthesia may not be a pleasant experience for you, especially if you have dental phobia and become apprehensive easily. However, it is worth noting that IV sedation is more expensive.
In my experience, the split is usually 60-40, with more people choosing a local anaesthetic and others opting for a general anaesthetic.
How long will this treatment take?
The process takes between one and a half and two hours, depending on whether you get implants for one or both jaws. More difficult operations can take up to three hours.
In my experience, I have completed the lower jaw in 45 minutes and the upper jaws in 40-45 minutes. Working on both jaws may take longer at times because you must balance the bones as well as the position of key implant bridge pieces.
However, the surgery would take no more than three hours in all.
How should I prepare for the procedure?
The dental surgeon does the majority of the preparation, while we are responsible for the planning.
However, I recommend that you arrive prepared and understand how to care for your new dental bridges. It is critical that you understand how to clean your new bridges correctly to keep them in good shape.
Waterpik
You should also get a Waterpik, which is a device that shoots water at high speeds and is essential for keeping your bridge clean. You will still need to brush your teeth twice a day and use the Waterpik before bedtime.
You can then buy a Waterpik from the clinic or online and learn how to use it so that you are comfortable using it for your new dental implants.
Prepare your doctor with any pertinent medical information, including medical problems, medications, and x-rays.
Supplements
Some patients have chronically low vitamin C or vitamin D levels, which might be supplemented prior to the operation. Your dental surgeon will offer you precise advice for vitamin supplementation.
Planning
Finally, avoid scheduling your surgery during a time when you do not anticipate any large social occasions, such as weddings or key celebrations. This is simply because you will feel swelling and bruises.
What should I avoid doing after the teeth in a day procedure?
To help with the healing process, avoid hard foods for eight weeks
You should also avoid excessive exercise for 1-2 weeks because any type of exercise reduces healing capacity after surgery. However, going on walks and doing modest exercise is good
Do All-on-4 teeth in a day implants require any particular care?
Are they difficult to keep clean?
It's simple to keep your mouth clean: use a Waterpik and brush your teeth twice a day. The key is to remain devoted and disciplined in frequently brushing your teeth for at least three minutes.
Patients who are unsure how to maintain their dental implants clean may want to consider dentures.
Can you use mouthwashes such as Listerine?
You can use a mouthwash. In fact, your Waterpik comes with water where you may add saltwater or mouthwash.
You can also use mouth rinses right before going to bed to keep your mouth feeling fresh.
Will drinking impact my Teeth in a Day implants?
Alcohol will promote deterioration of the gum or bone that is mending around the implants, so I strongly encourage you to avoid alcohol for at least one week.
This counsel may differ, as some doctors will urge you to avoid alcohol for a lengthy period of time; nevertheless, I do not prohibit patients from using it for more than a week.
Will the new implants cause any changes to my lifestyle?
Most Teeth in a Day implant patients report feeling happier, more joyful, and more socially open following their procedure.
They may have been reclusive prior to their new implants, but once the healing process is complete, they will notice that they can eat better, smile brighter, and have a much better social life.
What is the cost of getting teeth in one day?
A basic all-on-4 Teeth in a Day procedure costs over $23,000 in Singapore, with more problematic cases costing up to $25,000.
The cost of bridges varies according to their type:
Acrylic bridges cost approximately $7000
Ceramic bridges are a more durable and long-lasting option, costing around $22,000
Because the costs of Teeth in a Day implants vary depending on the intricacy of the procedure, the brand of the dental implant, the type of pain management, and the expertise of your dentist, it is best to meet with your doctor, who will inform you on all charges prior to consultation.
The procedure is Medisave eligible.
Is there an alternative to gaining teeth in a day?
If cost is a consideration, alternative treatment alternatives, such as Korean-branded implants, would be less expensive than Swiss implants.
Are there any common misconceptions you'd like to address?
People believe that once they have their new Teeth in a Day implants, they are done and do not need to worry about dental hygiene anymore.
Contrary to popular belief, you must be dedicated to maintaining good oral hygiene.
Dental implants are still a foreign object in your mouth, and you must clean their surfaces to prevent bacteria growth and implants from failing!
Hopefully, this post has helped you understand more about obtaining teeth in one day! There are numerous dental implant surgery alternatives available, which can often be bewildering.
As a result, it is critical that you seek the assistance of an experienced dentist who can precisely diagnose your problem and recommend the best remedy for you.
